Before you come in
What to wear
Glasses, hats and head coverings are not allowed, unless a head covering is worn for religious reasons, in which case a letter must go with your application. Uniforms, clothing that looks like a uniform and camouflage are not accepted. Avoid white or light colored tops.
U.S. passport photo rules
U.S. passports need a 2x2 inch glossy photo on a white background without shadows. Smiling is not permitted, and the photo must have been taken within the last 6 months.
Canadian passports
For Canadian passports, we sign the back of the print with our studio name, address and the date the photo was taken.
Babies and young children
Children must be able to sit upright and look directly at the camera. We are not able to photograph babies who cannot hold up their heads without help.

Common questions
Do you take passport photos for all ages?
Yes, for adults and children. Babies must be able to sit upright and look straight at the camera without help; we cannot photograph children who cannot hold up their heads on their own.
Are your passport photos compliant?
Yes. Our photos meet U.S. passport, visa and green card standards, and we can meet the requirements of many other countries on request. We retake photos at no extra charge until they meet U.S. Department of State rules.
Do I need an appointment?
No appointment is necessary, but one is recommended. Walk-ins are welcome during business hours: Monday to Friday 10 am to 6 pm, Saturday 10 am to 2 pm, closed Sunday. Most sessions take a few minutes.
Can I get a digital copy?
Yes. We provide printed copies and digital versions for online applications.
Can I get extra copies later?
No. We do not archive passport photos, so please buy any extra copies on the same day.
