Digitizing and restoration
We scan 120 and 220 medium format negatives in every common frame size, 6x4.5, 6x6, 6x7 and 6x9, right here in our Louisville lab. Pick the resolution you need, get JPEG or TIFF files, and your originals are always returned.

Formats
Medium format negatives are much larger than 35mm, so they hold more detail and tone. We scan all of the common sizes your camera may have shot.
Resolution
Every medium format order comes in one of four resolutions. Pixel dimensions depend on the frame size of your negatives and the option you pick.
Why medium format
A medium format negative carries far more information than a 35mm frame. A careful scan brings that detail into a digital file you can print large, share with family or keep as a long term archive.

Questions
We scan every common medium format frame size: 6x4.5 (645), 6x6, 6x7 and 6x9. That covers 120 and 220 roll film, in color and black and white.
You can choose from four options: low resolution, standard, high, and high TIFF. The final pixel dimensions depend on the frame size of your negatives and the option you select, so a 6x9 frame gives you more pixels than a 6x4.5 frame at the same setting.
Low resolution suits email and social media. Standard works well for everyday prints and sharing. High is the better pick for large prints or heavy cropping. High TIFF is best for archiving and for editing in programs like Photoshop or Lightroom. If you are not sure, ask us and we will help you decide.
